The workshop will primarily focus on contracts in the building sector (land based construction contracts, ship building and off shore fabrication contracts), but will also include other long term contracts (charterparties, agency agreements etc.).

Central topics to be addressed are contractual mechanisms for allocation of risk, and regulation of liability and insurance. Also the intertwined topics of choice of law and jurisdiction/arbitration will be discussed.

The seminar is jointly hosted by the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and the Departement of Private Law. Refreshments and lunch are kindly provided by the law firm Wikborg Rein.
