Lodge a complaint
You have the opportunity to appeal the results of an examination.
Formal requirements
The candidate shall state the grounds on which the complaint is based. Simply disagreeing with the mark is insufficient. Complaints regarding written exams must be submitted in a written form. The written complaint should consist of two documents.
- A cover letter with the student’s name address, candidate number, the title of the exam and the date of the exam.
- A page without the student’s name or any other identification marks stating only the student’s candidate number and the grounds for the complaint.
Send your complaint to:
The Faculty of Law, v/Examination Office, p.b. 6706 St. Olavs Plass, 0130 Oslo.
The processing of your complaint
New examiners are appointed and the papers are graded by them. Please note: The grade can decrease, stay the same or increase.
The new grade is made within 4 weeks of the candidate’s having submitted a request. The Faculty of Law will give the candidate written notice about the result.
