Research prongs of SIGNAL

The SIGNAL project is divided into four focus areas of legal research:

The cybercrime-focused research of this project will look at legal requirements for combatting cybercrime and promoting ICT security.

The encryption research prong analyses legal requirements concerned with encryption and decryption. This includes legal rules on the import and export of cryptographic products.

The SIGNAL project will critically assess the role of intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and international law in establishing security frameworks for critical internet infrastructure and cloud computing.
