Samah's academic interests include human rights, asylum seekers/ refugees, international law and conflict security and development. She is working as a research assistant on the project Jihadi subculture and street culture.
Samah completed her MA in Conflict Security and Development in the department of War Studies at King's College London. Her dissertation focused on the marginalization of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and how it contributes to the conflict dynamics in the country. Samah has completed her undergraduate degree in International Studies at Long Island University in New York.
Samah's work experience include assisting newly arrived refugees with the Norwegian Red Cross and the Norwegian People's Aid. She has also volunteered in unofficial refugee camps in Greece with the Norwegian organisation; A Drop in the ocean. Samah has worked as a Public Relations intern for South-South News in New York and has experience with campaigning for Amnesty International Norway.
She is raised in Norway with a background from Lebanon and Iraq and is fluent in Arabic, Norwegian, English and is familiar with Spanish.
