Sverre Flaatten

Academic Interests

Sverre Flaatten graduated with a Masters degree in Criminology at the Department in 2006. Since then he has worked as a researcher at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law, the Faculty of Law in Oslo as well as a lecturer at the Norwegian Police University College.

Flaattens research focuses on the relationship between classical and modern sociological theory and on criminal law.  Flaatten is now working on a PhD project concerning the relationship between theft, criminal law and the Welfare State in Norway in the period after WW2.
