Tara’s academic interests include media and crime, journalism, identity, migration, and narrative theory and methodology. She is currently working as a research assistant on “MIGMA – Transnationalism from above and below”.
Tara holds a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Oslo. Her thesis (in Norwegian) explore how Norwegian crime journalists negotiate identity in relation to different types of cases, and how that in turn affect the news selection and creation. Tara has previously been an examinator in KRIM1000 and KRIM1300.
