Han er redaktør for kommentarer om rettspraksis i Journal of World Investment and Trade.

I sin doktorgradsavhandling (fullført ved Universitetet i Dundee i 2013), A Theory of Configurative Fairness for Evolving International Legal Orders: Linking the Scientific Study of Value Subjectivity to Jurisprudential Thought, utvikler Behn en grunnlagsteori for å forstå og måle hvordan subjektive verdisyn påvirker utviklingen av rettssystemer over tid.

Behn innehar også en JD fra Tulane University School of Law, der han var sjefsredaktør for Tulane Journal for International and Comparative Law. Han har en LLM med utmerkelse fra Universitetet i Dundees Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), der han var Ibrahim Shihata Fellow i folkerett. Han er innviet medlem i Yale Society for the Policy Sciences og har holdt foredrag ved Yale Law School, Universitetet i Cambridge, McGill University, Brown University,  Universitetet i Wien, Universitetet i Oslo, Universitetet i Edinburgh, og Verdensbanken.
