The parties may, either in the arbitration agreement or in a later agreement, impose a time-limit on the authority of the arbitral tribunal.
In this case, the duration of the authority may be extended, each time for an ascertained period, either by agreement between the parties, or by a decision of the judicial authority provided for in Article 3, at the request of one of the parties or of the arbitral tribunal.
If the request is made by one of the parties, the other party shall be entitled to be heard.
