Academic Interests

International Organizations, (Public) International Law, International Courts, and Human Rights. In particular institutional issues, issues that concern the relationship between European Law and (Public) International Law, and the accountability of International Organizations.

Ongoing projects:

  • Turning my PhD thesis (on the human rights accountability mechanisms of International Organizations) into a book.
  • Dual attribution/shared responsibility when States and International Organizations act in concert.

Appointments & memberships

Background

Master's degree in Law from the University of Oslo (2012). The Master's thesis, entitled The European Union's accession to the ECHR: As Seen from Strasbourg, was written while I was a Research Assistant at the Centre for European Law. Associate in the Hjort law firm from September 2012 to March 2013.

PhD Fellow at the Centre for European Law from March 2013. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2017 on a thesis entitled "The Human Rights Accountability Mechanisms of International Organizations: A Framework and Three Case Studies". Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, from August 2017.
