Management of land and resources in the coastal zone (PlanCoast) (completed)

The PlanCoast project deals with integrated coastal zone management and planning, and discusses legal and structural challenges.

About the project

The coastal zone is an attractive venue for both food production and energy production. Activities that apparently becomes even more important as a result of a green shift. The research examines the conditions for an integrated management of land and resources in the coastal zone across sectors and levels of government.

Financing

The project is financed via the Norwegian Research Fund (NFR). The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) is project leader.

The program started in 2016 and ended in 2021.

Results                                                                                                                                        

The project will publish articles on web and in the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law's own publication MarIus.
