PluriCourts Lunch: Judicial Dialogue in International Trade and Investment

Communication in the form of judicial dialogue has been substantively investigated in the fields of human rights and constitutional law, it is nevertheless an increasingly rising phenomenon in international trade and Investment.

Michelle Zang, postdoctoral fellow, will present her project which looks into the judicial approach of selected economic tribunals when they are dealing with the same substantive matters. The research focus falls on the influence of the existing jurisprudence on the adjudicatory activity of another economic tribunal. Ultimately, this project aims to develop an apposite and systemic module for judicial dialogue in international trade and investment and attempts to use it as a resolution for the existing legitimacy deficits of international economic tribunals.
