The European Convention on Human Rights Under Pressure?

The Ryssdal seminar is an annual event which is primarily aimed at Norwegian judges. The seminar addresses the interface between international courts and Norwegian law. The seminar is co-hosted by the Norwegian Courts Administration.

The Ryssdal seminar series

The seminar was held for the first time in 2014 in connection with the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Rolv Ryssdal, former judge to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). The seminar honored Ryssdal and his role in the ECtHR, and focused simultaneously on the Court's importance to Norwegian law.

Please note that the seminar will be in Norwegian.
