New Professor of Political Science at PluriCourts: Daniel Naurin

PluriCourts is happy to welcome our new coordinator in political science, Professor Daniel Naurin. Naurin comes from the University of Gothenburg and will lead the research on cross-cutting issues relating to the functions and effects of international courts.

Political science research at PluriCourts

Politics – domestic and international – increasingly takes place in the shadow of international law and adjudication. The political science related research within PluriCourts studies how the judicialization of international affairs affects the scope and content of political conflict; how it mobilizes actors, constrains policy choices and redistributes political power resources and policy gains. The research is comparative and cross-sectional, focusing on the origins, functions and effects of ICs over time and in different areas of international law.
