The Common Market Will Not Be Dismantled, says Naurin

PluriCourts coordinator Daniel Naurin has been interviewed by the Swedish radio channel P1 and the show "Godmorgon Världen" [Good morning, World] on the future of the European Union in light of the refugee crisis. You can listen to the programme at the broadcaster's webpage.

Naurin was interviewed by the current affairs programme "Godmorgon Världen" [Good morning, World] on the future of the European Union and the challenges it faces in light of the refugee crisis.

What we are witnessing today is just a display of the EU's negotiation abilities. Even with the reintroduction of border controls, which is a threat to the Schengen area, an overall dismantling the Common Market is not a real threat under current circumstances, says Naurin. However, should nationalist forces gain more political influence in Europe in the coming years, this prognosis might change, he concludes.

The programme aired on 11 February. Listen to the programme at the webpage of the broadcaster.
