Visiting Scholar Programme

The Visiting Scholar Programme at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) offers researchers from Indonesia, Vietnam and Mainland China the opportunity of becoming a guest researcher at the NCHR for a period of two months every year.

The programme is for researchers from Indonesia, Vietnam and Mainland China who are currently enrolled in a PhD programme, or have obtained a PhD degree.

The objective of the visiting scholar programme is to support emerging high quality research within the field of international human rights, to build human rights research capacity in the target countries and provide international networking and exchange opportunities between individuals and institutions in the human rights field.

The NCHR has its own particular Visiting Scholar Programme for self-funded scholars. Application deadlines come twice yearly, on April 1st and October 1st.
