New MA-thesis on Access to Information in China
The China Programme congratulates Jens F. Reinertsen, to successfully finishing his MA-thesis on access to information in China, written as part of his LLM-studies in Beijing.
In his research, Reinertsen has focused on the Chinese Open Government Information (OGI) Regulations that were enacted in 2008. Relying mainly on international human rights law, but also finding support in other areas of international law, the theisis assess the regulations’ compliance with international standards.
As a holder of one of the China Programme’s MA scholarships, he has been receiving a monthly stipend for twelve months and also been getting access to the Programme’s academic networks in China. Several former visiting scholars to the NCHR that contributed to the drafting process of the OGI regulations have shared their expertise with Reinertsen.
