The Indonesian Village law could have strong consequences for the enjoyment of human rights, in particular concerning participation rights and the right to information. It could also affect economic, social and cultural rights at the village level, and the rights of indigenous people.

The NORDEM LTO training 2015 will take place from 9-11 December in Oslo. 22 participants have been carefully selected to participate in the training.
The training is based on the EODS curriculum for LTO trainings and has been adapted to a three days training in collaboration with EODS. The lead trainers are Manuel Sánches de Nogués, training coordinator in EODS, and Hannah Roberts, an independent consultant with broad experience working within international election observation.

Where does the recent, increased attention on freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) from states, NGOs and parliamentarians come from? How does it relate to domestic political issues? Which aspects of FoRB are affected, and what are the consequences for the relationship between FoRB and other fundamental human rights?
NORDEM, in co-operation with the OSCE, will host an OSCE Forum on recruitment and secondments to the OSCE. Representatives from the OSCE Recruitment Section will participate and will present OSCE recruitment policies, methodology and competance model as well as look into Norwegian representation and recruitment to the organization

Two visiting scholars from China, Ding Peng from Wuhan University and Wang Kun from Guangzhou University together with Cecilie F. Bakke, director of the China Programme at the NCHR, talked about how human rights is taught in China to the Master students in Educational Leadership at the Department of Teacher Education and School Research.
