Restitution of Land in Transitional Justice

The seminar aims to explore the right to restitution of land and property in Transitional Justice processes.

We will present a conceptual overview, the legal basis of the right to restitution of land, as well as experiences from the field. Three case studies, Colombia, South Africa and Kenya, will be presented to contextualize the role of restitution of land in Transitional Justice.

This seminar is open for the Norwegian academic and public audiences, and should be of relevance for policy-makers, practitioners, students and researchers working on peace and reconciliation issues, internal displacement, and victim rights.
