Judicial Reform in China - impacts of WTO and constitutional amendments

Speaker: Justice Wan Exiang

Deputy President of the Supreme People's Court, former Director of the International Law Research Institute, Wuhan University and founder of the Center for Protection of Rights of Disadvantaged Citizens, Wuhan University. He was a key figure in the ground-breaking 2002 Supreme Court decision to directly apply the Chinese constitutional provision on right to education.
Wan Exiang is in Norway as head of a delegation of Supreme Court Judges visiting the NCHR and the Norwegian Supreme Court.
