The seminar considers, inter alia, whether a common military manual on the law of armed conflict (LOAC) for the Nordic region would be desirable and/or feasible.  Gro Nystuen is among our confirmed speakers and moderators.

We have been receiving registrations not only from Norway but also from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, the United Kingdom and the United States.  Those in the audience represent academics, military lawyers and judge advocates, Red Cross advisors, politicians, supreme court justices, editors, prosecutors, defence and justice ministry officials, etc.  It promises to be an interesting and exciting event.

To register, please send an e-mail message to ficjc@prio.no (with 'Seminar 071210' in the subject field), indicating your wish to register as a seminar participant.  Remember to mention your name, functional title (for example, 'student' or 'Legal Adviser (MFA)') and e-mail address.  The Norwegian Red Cross (attn. Mr. Mads Harlem, mads.harlem@redcross.no) can offer special hotel rates for registered seminar participants.
