Ingo Venzke visits PluriCourts to present one of his latest works.

The lunch seminar will discuss the book "Women's Human Rights. CEDAW in International, Regional and National Law" edited by Anne Hellum and Henriette Sinding Aasen.

Is fragmentation a threat to international law? In their book, Professor Mads Andenæs and Dr Eirik Bjørge (eds.) contend that the fragmentation of international law is far exceeded by its convergence. Discussants at the book launch will be Professor Inger Johanne Sand and PhD Candidate Sondre Torp Helmersen.

Master thesis by Research Assistant Tori Loven Kirkebø. She examines the current system regulating state and corporate behavior with regards to human rights. As such it contributes to the debate on a global treaty on business and human rights through an interdisciplinary, human rights approach. Read the paper (SSRN).

The Legitimacy of Human Rights Courts: A Grounded Interpretivist Analysis of the European Court of Human Rights.

In this seminar Claudio Corradetti will contribute to the debate on the fragmentation of international Law and further his ideas on cosmopolitanism through courts.

Michael Reiertsen is a Phd research fellow at the Department of Public and International Law, UiO. He is writing a Phd thesis with the working title “The ECHR Article 13 – Past, Present and Future”.

MultiRights Postdoctoral Fellow Matthew Saul presents his ongoing research on the impact of international human rights courts and tribunals on domestic Parliaments.

In this MultiRights seminar, researcher Nino Tsereteli will talk about recent efforts of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) to trigger and facilitate parliamentary engagement in solving structural problems identified in its judgments.
