New date: Conference on Empirical Legal studies (CELSE) 2022

Due to the spread of COVID-19 and widespread introduction of restrictions on movement and assembly, the programme committee has, with deep regret, decided to postpone the conference in Oslo until 9-10 June 2022.

The planned CELS-Europe 2022 conference will be therefore held at the University of Oslo. A new call for papers will be announced in June 2021.

The papers submitted for CELS-Europe 2020 can be considered afresh but new papers must be submitted if the current paper is published. You may wish also to consider submitting your paper to the forthcoming SELS conferences in 2020 and 2021 in North America and Asia. You can follow this website here for details: https://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/sels/

We note that a digital conference for June 2020 was considered. However, due to the effects of the COVID-19 restrictions on the University of Oslo's administrative capacity, it is not possible to carry out a large digital conference in the current circumstances.

We wish to thank everyone for the many high quality papers that were submitted. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances with COVID-19 we cannot proceed with the conference.

We look forward to future opportunities to discuss and debate empirical legal studies research and hope to see you in June 2022 in Oslo.
