About the ECS
The European Copyright Society (ECS) was founded in January 2012 with the aim of creating a platform for critical and independent scholarly thinking on European Copyright Law and policy. Its members are scholars and academics from various countries of Europe, seeking to articulate and promote their views of the overall public interest on all topics in the field of authors rights, neighbouring rights and related matters.
Conference topic
The topic of the 4th annual ECS conference is ‘A Copyright for Authors and Performers’. Here, the ECS aims, through various contributions of ECS members, to engage in a debate as to how creators and performing artists’ interests can be safeguarded in the current technological and economic environment.
Conference Venue
The conference will take place at the seminar room "Gamle Festsal" in Domus Academica. Domus Academica is one of our buildings at the Faculty of Law in Karl Johans gate 47.
