In her article, Conceptualising Corporate Sustainability Law, published in Transnational Legal Theory in September 2025, Professor Sjåfjell presents Corporate Sustainability Law as a new, sustainability-oriented field of law. The aim is to facilitate interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary regulatory analyses, to explore changes in the identification and boundaries of actors and their rights and duties; continued gaps, incoherencies, and barriers; and ways forward towards the necessary fundamental transformation of business.
In this seminar, Professor Sjåfjell invites discussion of how Corporate Sustainability Law and the interdisciplinary approach to law that informs this field can contribute to research and teaching at the Centre for Global Sustainability. Professor Sjåfjell is, together with her Research Group Sustainability Law, affiliated with the Centre, and looks forward to engaging with the multidisciplinary scholars and students at the Centre.
