The 2025 Nordic-German IPR Network Meeting gathered doctoral researchers and senior scholars in Oslo for three days of presentations, discussion, and networking. Hosted by the University of Oslo’s Department of Private Law and BI Norwegian Business School, the program featured a wide range of PhD projects on current challenges in intellectual property law.

In addition to academic sessions, participants enjoyed guided tours of the Munch Museum, the Vigeland Museum and Park, as well as shared dinners and opportunities to explore Oslo’s cultural sites. The meeting fostered collaboration across Nordic and German institutions and provided an inspiring arena for emerging scholars in IPR.

About the Nordic/German IPR Network

The Nordic/German IPR Network brings together researchers from Nordic institutions and two German research centres to collaborate on intellectual property law in a broad sense, including patents, trade marks, copyright, trade secrets and data regulation. The annual meeting strengthens national and international research ties and dedicates time for senior scholars to discuss ongoing projects while providing PhD candidates with feedback and opportunities to build lasting professional networks. This early inclusion of emerging researchers is central to the network’s purpose, supporting both academic development and future joint publications.
