The first two books are Daughters of Themis edited volumes, drawing on the international annual workshops organised by Daughters of Themis: International Network of Women Business Scholars. More about the background and topics covered in the books:
- Innovating Business for Sustainability: Regulatory Approaches in the Anthropocene, editors: Beate Sjåfjell, Carol Liao and Aikaterini Argyrou (Edward Elgar Publishing; 2022)
- Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Business: Perspectives of Women Business Scholars, editors: Beate Sjåfjell, Roseanne Russell and Maja van der Velden (Springer Nature, published October 2022 – copyright year 2023)
The third volume is also edited by members of Daughters of Themis, with a history going back to the Thessaloniki conference 2015 and encompassing research of the EU-funded SMART Project (2016-2020). Read more about the book and its origins:
- Sustainable Value Creation in the European Union: Towards Pathways to a Sustainable Future through Crises, editors: Beate Sjåfjell, Georgina Tsagas and Charlotte Villiers (Cambridge University Press, published December 2022 – copyright year 2023)
The book celebration will include short presentations of each book, prepared comments by eminent scholars and members of the Sustainability Law research group, and a discussion with the audience. The book celebration is a hybrid event, possible to follow in person or through Zoom. It will be followed by a drinks reception, open to all participants physically in Oslo.
The book celebration is followed the next day, Friday 9 June, by a Seminar on inter- and transdisciplinarity for sustainability, which is also hybrid and open for all interested. You can sign up to both events through the same online form.
