7: Sexual and reproductive rights: liberty, dignity and equality

This workshop will consider papers on any of the following topics:

  • the treatment of sexual minorities (for example, issues of non-discrimination or of recognition concerning gays, lesbians, or transgendered persons
  • regulation of forms of sexual behavior (including prostitution, sodomy, adultery etc.)
  • protection of sexual and reproductive ntegrity (e.g. protection against sexual violence and harassment – including within marriage, protection against harmful practices in the sphere of sexuality and reproduction)
  • Regulation of reproduction (e.g. in assisted reproductive technology issues, abortion, access to contraception, regulation of family size)

In addressing these topics, papers are invited to consider perspectives of liberty, equality, dignity and/or other relevant constitutional frameworks.
