Domain Names and Jurisdiction: Where to go?

This prong of research takes up the question of jurisdiction and .com domain names. These domain names are perceived either as having a global nature or as being regulated by the US. So where should a dispute regarding a .com domain name be adjudicated? What are the trends in this area? Does the current status of .com domain names allow for a balanced and equitable distribution of jurisdiction, or does it favour a centralized adjudication of .com-related litigations and seizures by one country (the USA)?
