Sollund has published widely in green criminology over the past decade with particular focus on the trade in endangered species in Norway, Colombia and Brazil. Her research has been published in several languages ​​such as English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.

Sollund is the project manager of the research project CRIMEANTHROP (link), funded by the Research Council of Norway's FRIPRO program. The project examines the implementation of CITES and the Berne Convention in Norway, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Sollund is the author of several non-fiction books. The latest release Bare et dyr? was purchased by the Cultural Council's procurement scheme for Norwegian non-fiction in 2021.

Sollund was one of the initators of Nordic green criminology and coedited the first Nordic anthology on green criminology.

Background

Sollund is professor of criminology at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law. In 2003 she completed her Dr.polit.degree with the thesis Rammer, rom og mobilitet. Innvandrerkvinners arbeidsliv about immigrant women’s occupational mobility. Sollund has worked as a research fellow at ISF (Institute for Social Research), senior researcher at NOVA (Norwegian social research) and as a project manager on several projects, amongst others on working conditions of minority women and ethnic minorities’ encounters with the police.
