Research interests

My field of research is international political theory. I am a particularly interested in questions of political legitimacy, power, and authority, beyond the nation state. In my work I seek to combine an analytical approach to normative and conceptual issues with sensitivity to and close contact with empirical research in international relations, political economy, and international institutions. In my doctoral thesis, I develop a normative account of legitimacy in global economic governance institutions that draws on positive theory and empirical research on global governance.

My dissertation received the Stockholm University Association (Högskoleföreningen) prize for best doctoral dissertation and outstanding scientific achievement within the Faculty of Social Sciences 2016.
