Josef Adam Younes
Josef is writing about business-related violations of human rights and humanitarian law. The thesis will discuss the extent to which corporations can be punished for HR and IHL violations committed outside of Norwegian territories, according to Norwegian law. Furthermore the thesis will discuss whether the state is obligated according to international law to administer such punishment. Finally the thesis will discuss what legal relevance and weight such obligations have in the discretionary assessment in determining whether a penalty shall be imposed on a corporation according to section 28 of the Norwegian Penal Code.
