About the centre

PluriCourts is a Centre of Excellence at the Department of Public and International Law, The Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo.

PluriCourts is funded by the Research Council of Norway.



PluriCourts is managed by a Director, Co-Director and a team of four Coordinators, together with an Administrative Manager.

Scientific advisory board

PluriCourts has a scientific advisory committee (SAC). The SAC’s mandate is to critically evaluate and advice on the centre’s scientific performance and progress.

Core readings

PluriCourts core readings are key texts that each bring an important perspective to the study of the legitimacy of interantional courts and tribunals.
