The Use of Judicial Decisions in International Law
How do national and international courts and tribunals use international judicial decisions? Many discuss this phenomenon under labels such us 'judicial dialogue', 'cross-pollination', and/or 'cross-fertilization'.
This seminar is co-organized by the Department of Private Law and PluriCourts.
The seminar
The seminar will look at the systemic relevance of cross-citation for international and domestic law. It will discuss the significance of judicial decision in the context of sources of international law and their relationship with scholarship. It will look at the use of judicial decisions in specialized fields of international law.
