Ph.D. candidate Emma Brandon will present on the topic "Obligations under the Genocide Convention to Cooperate with the ICC and the Regional Human Rights Tribunals".
Brandon is a Doctoral Research Fellow at PluriCourts. She writes her thesis on the legal obligations that states have to the international criminal and human rights tribunals if they have signed but not yet ratified the treaties that establish the jurisdiction of these tribunals.
Additionally, she is working on an interdisciplinary research project evaluating the process by which states give, modify, and terminate their consent to the jurisdiction of international tribunals.
Her research interests include international criminal law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law.
