Senior Research Fellow in Legal Theory Alain Zysset will present his paper titled "Calibrating the Response to Populism: Role, Limits, and Responsibility of the European Court of Human Rights".
At PluriCourts, Zysset will conduct research on the European Court of Human Rights and populism. His project, "To Defer or to Surrender? The European Court of Human Rights in Populist Times", aims to offer the first comprehensive account of the Court's actual and potential response to the wave of populism consolidating across Council of Europe states.
