PluriCourts Lunch Seminar: Ecocide
Wednesday Lunch Seminar with Professor Christina Voigt.
Professor Christina Voigt will be present on the topic "ecocide" and touch on the discussion around criminalizing ecosystem destruction.
In December 2020, a panel of international law lawyers was established to prepare a legal definition of “ecocide” for use in future negotiations between states on the extension of the International Criminal Court's jurisdiction as set out in the Rome Statute. Professor Voigt is a member of the panel.
Professor Voigt is an expert in international environmental law. She works in particular on legal issues of climate change, biodiversity conservation, environmental multilateralism and sustainability.
