Professor Ole Kristian Fauchald will present on the topic "The Arctic Oil case at the Norwegian Supreme Court". In December 2020, the Supreme Court ruled 11 to 4 in favor of the state, concluding that a set of oil drilling permits in the Arctic were not in breach of the Constitution nor the European Convention on Human Rights.

Fauchald is a Professor at the Department for Public and International Law. His fields of research include national and international environmental law, international trade law and international investment law.
