Alternative facts and the ICC

Postdoctoral fellow Joanna Nicholson comments on the US National Security Adviser John Bolton's threats against the International Criminal Court. 

In the debate piece, published in the Norwegian newspaper Klassekampen, Nicholson describes Bolton's comments as dangerous and largely based on misleading and false facts. Bolton's speach was held partly as a response to the the ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda's request for an investigation into alleged war crimes commited in Afghanistan, including potential crimes committed by Americans.
