Lie’s project, titled “Tracing influence- a computational study of change in the international investment system” is an article based Ph.D. with five planned articles. The first article will be a chapeau to tie the four following articles together. The second article uses computational analysis to see which actors impact the development of international investment law. The third article tracks specific changes in treaty language and their origin. The fourth article seeks to measure interactions between actors, litigation, treaties and the world at large. The fifth article will focus on the Oslo Legal Analysis Platform (OLAP). The assessor of the midway Professor Joost Pauwelyn of the Graduate Institute of Geneva.
