Monday seminar: Briefing by UN`s New Special Rapporteur on Cambodia, Professor Rhona Smith

The UN’s new Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Cambodia professor Rhona Smith is visiting Oslo. On 15th of June during the lunch seminar she will give a brief about the human rights situation in Cambodia and issues related to her new mandate.

Coffee, tea and fresh fruit will be served.

Professor Rhona Smith is the professor of International Human Rights at Northumbria University in Newcastle. She is a newly appointed United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia. She is also the author of Textbook on International Human Rights(6th Edition).

She has held permanent and part-time appointments at various universities including Peking university, Robert Gordon University, Strathclyde University and the University of Western Ontario. Professor Smith has also been working closely with the NCHR China Programme on their educational projects in China
