Visit from China University of Foreign Affairs, the Cradle of Chinese Diplomats

On 15 January, the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) had the honor to receive this year’s first Chinese academic delegation from China University of Foreign Affairs (CFAU) at our brand new Law Faculty building Domus Juridica.

Led by Professor Zhang Hua, Deputy Dean of the Department of International Law at China Foreign Affairs University, the delegation wishes to establish cooperation with NCHR and the Faculty of Law.  Professor Gentian Zyberi, the Head of NCHR welcomed the delegation and provided a brief introduction of NCHR and the Faculty of Law. Both sides exchanged information on research activities, student education and international cooperation.  NCHR and CFAU also explored the possibility for developing collaborative links in the area of legal education and research through academic cooperation and student exchange.

After the meeting, the delegation had a tour to the library at the Faculty, as well as to the Faculty’s historical buildings.

CFAU is directly affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-built by the Ministry of Education, and was titled as “the Cradle of Chinese Diplomats” by the former premier Wen Jiabao.
