The China Programme supports Chinese research initiatives, engages in cooperative projects and provides opportunities for Chinese scholars from a range of disciplines to undertake research on human rights related issues through scholarships and research trainings

The China programme has supported Chinese research and publications on human rights, human rights education, anti-discrimination, multidisciplinary human rights research, labor rights and women's rights

Visiting scholar Programme in Oslo

The China Programme has hosted more than 70 visiting scholars from China. Research stays are announced annually in China and on our webpages. Visiting scholars meet with Scandinavia-based experts, participate in seminars, and provide the China Programme with advice and input. After their return to China, many of the scholars have continued to provide advice on our activities in China and many have made important contributions to their fields of research and to policy and legal development processes.
