Essays on Islam and Human Rights in contemporary Indonesia

An collection of essays on Islam and Human Rights was published in December 2014, based on selected contributions to the conference 'Islam and Human Rights - theories and prcatices in contemporary Indonesia', which was held in Yogyakarta in 2012.

The essays are all written in Indonesian and cover a variety of topics. The book is divided in four parts titled "religion and communities", "interpretation of religious texts", "state and law" and "culture".

The book is edited by Muhammad Latif Fauzi and Sulhani Hermawan, with a preface written by Budhy Munawar-Rachman. The contibutoras are Masykuri Abdillah, Martino Sardi, Otto Gusti Madung, Deni K. Yusup, Aksin Wijaya, Zakiyuddin Baidhawy, Ahmad Shidqi, Andri Rosadi, Illham Mundzir, Laila Kholid Alfirdaus, M. Imam Zamroni and Aubhani Kasuma Dewi.
