Trainings for Indonesian university lecturers

Two trainings for Indonesian university lecturers focusing on civil and political rights were conducted in May 2013.

At 6th to 8th of May in Yogyakarta and 21st to 23rd of May in Semarang, Centre for Human Rights Studies at the Indonesian Islamic University (Pusham UII) Yogyakarta in cooperation with the Indonesia programme at NCHR, organized two human rights trainings for lecturers from different Indonesian universities.

The two groups of approximately 30 lecturers participating in the trainings have been attending human rights education since 2010 and 2011. This year the focus was on civil and political rights in an interactive manner were group work and plenary discussions were utilized. Among speakers and group leaders at the training were Professor Raul Pangalangan, Roichatul Aswidah, Surya Tjandra and Indonesia Programme staff.
