NORDEM provides election observers to most of the EU's operations and the observers are now fully integrated into the missions in the same way as observers from member states. In 2011 19 Norwegian observers joined the EU's own observers in missions in 9 different countries; Sudan, Chad, Uganda, Nigeria, Peru, Zambia, Tunisia, Nicaragua and DR Congo. The Norwegian Mission interviewed Arild Stenberg, who observed both in DR Congo and in Tunisia.
