Following an official invitation, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) concluded in the report from their Needs Assessment Mission November 2015 that observation would be necessary for the upcoming early parliamentary elections. NORDEM is sending four short-term observers as well as one long-term observer to the elections which are to be held on 5 June 2016.

The OSCE’s election observation methodology centres on the legislative and implementation measures enforced by the state in question in regards to free democratic elections.  The observers will observe the election campaign, election administration, voting, counting of votes and the tabulation of results.

For further information see the OSCE page on the election.
