NORDEM training for long term election observers. In 2015, NORDEM, in cooperation with EODS, Election Observation and Democracy Support, from Brussels, organized a training on the methodology of long term election observer for experienced members of the NODEM roster. The training enhanced the participants ability to assess an election process up against international standards. The course lasted for three days and was held in english. NORDEM one day intensive training in election observation. On request of the Norwegian Parliament, NORDEM developed a one day intensive training course in election observation methodology for parliamentarians that participate in international elections observation through the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The training was later requested and delivered to staff of the election department of the Ministry of Local Government and Modernization, who wanted to be better equipped to assess elections when going on international study trips. The participants were trained by NORDEM staff on the structure, mandate and workings of election observation missions and the specific tasks of a short term observer. The training is available upon request.
