Introductory Course in Human Rights
The course seeks to provide participants with introductory knowledge of international human rights that will broaden their perspectives and opportunities for integrating human rights principles, standards and approaches into their daily work.

The course will start on Monday, 1 September and end on Friday, 5 September 2014.

The five day course will cover a basic introduction to international human rights: their institutions and substantive rights, as well as their monitoring, implementation and enforcement.
The various topics will be taught by human rights researchers and practitioners based in Norway. They will provide lectures, case studies, and group work that actively engage participants in sharing of knowledge, practical experiences and challenges from their daily work.
Participants are expected to actively engage in the course by participating in group work and discussions.
