Abstract

The paper on which the presentation is based on analyses the content of the eligibility criteria for sustainable finance as laid down in the Taxonomy Regulation, as well as their legal effects. It reviews the process towards the elaboration, adoption and revision of the eligibility criteria for sustainable finance. It also aims to assess their impact on the development of energy projects within the EU as well as towards third countries, through bilateral and multilateral agreements such as the European Economic Area Agreement or the Energy Community.
