Thea Myrvang's PhD project examines how privatised knowledge production and digitalisation is affecting the courts in Norway. The doctorate is part of the research project CRIMKNOW, which explores the relationship between private and public knowledge regimes in criminal policy."
Background
Myrvang has a master's degree in criminology from the University of Oslo and a bachelor's degree in criminology from the University of Melbourne. Her master's thesis focused on the role of the Norwegian police in the follow-up of individuals previously convicted of child sexual abuse, and challenges related to information flow and internal cooperation between police departments. She has previously worked as a senior advisor at Nord-Troms and Senja District Court.
